Middlesbrough FC has confirmed a third pre-order period for its 150 anniversary kit will open at 12 noon on Wednesday 30 September, online only at shop.mfc.co.uk.

The navy shirt and darker blue shorts draw inspiration from the earliest days in the club's history and will be worn as a one-off in Boro's 150 celebration fixture against Wolves in October.

A total of 7,500 additional shirts will be made available in this third pre-order period — the maximum capacity which Castore are able to accommodate. This follows strong demand in the first two pre-order periods, which saw 1,876 shirts purchased in the first week and a combined total of 3,000 shirts by Tuesday.

What buyers need to know

The club has acknowledged it was a mistake to run the shirt as a limited edition and worked with Castore to make additional stock available.

Supporters purchasing in the third pre-order period should be aware that shirts will not arrive until January. Shirts in this final pre-order period will not include a presentation box or an authenticity card with unique shirt number.

Junior sizes will be available in this pre-order period. The 150 shirt is not available in baby or infant kits or women's fit. Blank shirts and shirt printing are not available on pre-orders.
