Middlesbrough FC has announced a second batch of its special edition 150 anniversary shirt following overwhelming demand for the initial release.

A further 1,200 adult shirts will be available to pre-order from 12 noon on Tuesday, with collection at the end of November. The club said it apologises to supporters who were disappointed by the initial limited availability.

The club acknowledged that running the anniversary shirt as a limited edition was a mistake and has worked with kit supplier Castore to produce more stock. A third run of shirts will be made available from the end of January should the second batch sell out. All shirts ordered in any potential third pre-order period will not be available until January due to production schedules.

Record shirt demand across the season

Replica shirt sales have increased 80% compared to last season, the club confirmed. This demand has extended to orders for the 2027/28 season.

Feedback from supporters

The club has taken on board supporter feedback, including discussions with its Fan Advisory Panel. It has committed to working with Castore to improve planning for future sales periods and apply lessons learned from this experience to next season and beyond.

Fans will be kept updated on whether a third pre-order period is needed, with details confirmed should the second batch sell out.
