Middlesbrough have signed Columbus Crew winger Max Arfsten for an undisclosed fee on a four-year deal.
The 25-year-old USA international scored 14 goals in 89 Major League Soccer appearances. He was a member of the USA's squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Arfsten is the second American to join Middlesbrough this summer, following midfielder Sebastian Berhalter who signed last month.
Speaking to the club website, Arfsten said: "I've been wanting to come here for some time and now I just can't wait to train with the team and hit the ground running."
