Middlesbrough FC has installed new turnstile scanners at the Riverside Stadium ahead of the new season. Supporters will need to familiarise themselves with how the system works depending on their ticket type.
Physical Tickets
Fans with physical match tickets can scan their barcode at the bottom of the turnstile reader for entry.
Digital and Season Tickets
Digital match tickets and all season tickets use contactless NFC (near-field communication) technology. Supporters with digital tickets should open or load the ticket on their phone or device as they approach the turnstile. At the scanner, they tap the back of their phone or device to the NFC point at the top of the reader. Physical season tickets should also be tapped to the NFC point for access.
Carabao Cup Match Notice
No season tickets are activated for Friday night's Carabao Cup match against Wrexham. All fans attending that fixture will need either a physical or digital match ticket for entry.
