Middlesbrough FC has announced that proceeds from the live stream of Sunday's Legacy Game will be donated to the families of PC Matthew Blades and PC Tom Clough, two police officers who were killed in the line of duty in August.
The Legacy Game was staged as part of the club's 150th anniversary celebrations. A full house attended the match at the Riverside, while several thousand more viewers tuned in via Boro LIVE, the club's live streaming service.
The club said the donation aims to offer support to the two families following the community's response to their deaths. The streaming revenue will contribute to that assistance.
