Middlesbrough's Under-21s begin their National League Cup campaign on Tuesday with a trip to Hartlepool United, kicking off at 3pm. Hartlepool is hosting a Family Fun Day at Victoria Park, with supporters from both clubs invited to attend.

The midweek afternoon fixture marks the first competitive match of the new campaign for manager Mark Tinkler's side. The school holidays are in full swing, which is expected to help attract a decent crowd for the opening game.
