Middlesbrough FC has launched a new Digital Inclusion Programme in partnership with MFC Foundation to help supporters confidently use the club's digital services. The scheme aims to ensure all fans can access matchday and non-matchday experiences as technology becomes increasingly central to supporting the Boro.
The club has funded the initial two-year programme using revenue from physical Season Card purchases, with the potential to extend it further if successful.
What the programme offers
The Digital Inclusion Programme provides practical training, one-to-one assistance and community-based learning opportunities. Supporters will develop essential digital skills, improve online safety awareness and gain confidence using digital platforms.
Training covers navigating the club website, setting up accounts, using the MFC App, accessing digital tickets, planning matchday travel, using retail services and engaging safely online.
Who it's for
The initiative targets supporters who may face barriers to digital access, including older supporters and people with accessibility needs. It aims to deliver lasting benefits beyond football by improving digital literacy, wellbeing and access to essential online services.
Where to access training
Hands-on workshops will take place at the Riverside Stadium and within local communities. The programme is delivered by MFC Foundation alongside partners including Barclays and Middlesbrough Council, with support from the Boro Fan Panel and other supporter groups.
