Middlesbrough Under-18s claimed a 3-1 victory over Newcastle United Under-18s on Saturday, 24 October 2026, with goals from Billy Linacre and a second half brace from Alfie Brown.

Boro opened the scoring when Joey Tremain skipped down the left wing and cut the ball back for Linacre to tap home. Newcastle responded quickly through Jack Skelton to level the sides at 1-1 before half time.

Second Half Dominance

Rob Jones' side made a strong start to the second half. Eamonn Tohill drilled a low ball across the face of goal, and Brown slid home from a tight angle to restore Boro's lead.

Brown doubled his personal tally shortly afterwards when a neat ball into the box from Tremain found the forward at the back post. His looping header left the Newcastle goalkeeper with no chance.

League Position and Next Fixture

The win moves Middlesbrough to sixth in the table. Jones' side travel to Stoke City next Saturday.
